Position Summary
The Paralegal will be reporting directly into Vice President, Legal & Technology Vendor Governance. The Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing third party vendor agreements, maintaining the vendor contract repository, generating contract expiration reporting and overseeing related contract and vendor management workflows.


Responsibilities
  • Review and assist in the negotiation of third party vendor agreements for various services, including information technology, human resources, office services and finance
  • Oversee contract and vendor management workflows
  • Maintain third party contract repository
  • Generate contract expiration report and prepare related contract amendments
  • Maintain legal document templates
  • Draft and review various legal documents
  • Perform legal research, as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the VP, Legal & Technology Vendor Governance
 
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum certificate, degree, or diploma from an accredited institution
  • 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal working in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Paralegal certification an asset
  • Experience with service agreements an asset
  • Experience with eContracts and/or Appian an asset
  • Notary Public an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Professional
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Patience and persistence in follow-up
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
